We have a lot of fun in store for you at the Branford Opening Days.  You should review and know the official Yale Opening Days Calendar, but missing an opportunity to meet and hang out with fellow Branfordians would be a tragedy.

Also, make sure to take lots of pictures — we will be posting a photo slideshow here once Opening Days are over, and it would be great to have your pictures.  Watch S. Diddy’s updates for more info on submitting your photos.

Friday, Aug 28th

9 AM — Freshman Dorms Open
Branford Upperclassmen and Freshman Counselors (FroCos) are on hand to welcome you to the Branford family and help you move in to your new home.  Come early and make sure to grab your Branford freebies!

4 – 5:30 PM — Master’s Open House
Master and Mrs. Smith open their home to all parents and families for refreshments and introductions.  Everyone (in the extended Branford family) is welcome to attend.  Bring a good attitude and an open mind, and you’re bound to be impressed by your fellow Branfordians.

8 – 9 PM — Registration in the Dining Hall
MANDATORY.  Fill out your forms, or you may not be an official Yale student …

9 – 10PM –  Meet your Freshman Counselor (FroCo)
Your FroCo will reach out to you to let you the details, but this is your opportunity to meet your FroCo and your pod.

Saturday, Aug 29th

1 – 2:30 PM — Complimentary Lunch
Families and friends are welcome to attend at the Saturday Branford lunch.  Hang out with friends and meet new people in the gorgeous Branford Dining Hall.

5 – 7 PM — Freshman Cookout
This time, it’s students only.  You’re on your own this time parents!

Sunday, Aug 30th

Monday, Aug 31th

5 PM — Reception at the Master’s House
Join us at the Master’s House for a reception followed by a nice dinner in the Dining Hall.  Please dress appropriately in nice pants for the men and pants or a skirt for the women.
